My dining experience at Javier's Gourmet Mexicano was a delightful exploration of authentic Mexican cuisine. I savored the Codorniz a la Talla, a beautifully prepared quail dish that was tender and bursting with rich, smoky flavors, perfectly capturing the essence of traditional Mexican grilling. The Red Snapper Mojo de Ajo was equally impressive, featuring fresh snapper elevated by a vibrant garlic sauce that balanced zest and depth. The restaurant’s ambiance was warm and inviting, with attentive service that made the meal even more enjoyable. The only drawback was the parking, which was quite cumbersome and required some patience to navigate. Despite this inconvenience, the exceptional quality of the food and the overall experience make Javier's a standout choice for gourmet Mexican dining. I recommend planning ahead for parking to fully enjoy this culinary gem.

This was our family's first time at Javier's and we had an overall great experience - I was I could give 4.5 stars. We had family come in from out of town and we wanted to take them to a place well-known in Dallas for great experiences and wonderful food. I always appreciate when you can make a reservation, although we had to call the restaurant as opposed to being able to do it online. We were seated as soon as we got there and I was pleased that we (there were 7 of us) were put at a round table which always makes for great conversation where no one feels left out. The ambiance inside is wonderful and they even have spots where you can tuck away for a more quiet and secluded experience. The food and drinks did not disappoint! They don't have a kid's menu, but if you ask they can make something special and much simpler for them. My daughter ordered the beef/steak and thought it was absolutely delicious - she is a very picky eater. The only miss with our experience was that there was cheese on our beans and it wasn't indicated on the menu. Seems small, but as someone who doesn't enjoy cheese on their food I am always careful to read what's in my food and I'm sure to order it without cheese. Both my daughter and I received the beans with cheese on them so we had to ask them to remake it without it. Not overall terrible, and they fixed the issue quickly, but something to note if you're like us and you don't want cheese on your food.

I met some friends for dinner here amd it was good. The servers do rush you as others have said in the comments. I had the shrimp with the lemon garlic sauce and they were good. We got the chocolate cake for dessert and it was good. I would come back.

This place is awesome! The vibe of the restaurant is very moody and Mexican vintage! Although the seating could be a bit more comfortable but I do not mind it. The drinks are very yummy and not too sweet! The food is also great, we got the combo nachos, the filet Cantinflas, and I ordered a side of shrimp with their garlic sauce!

From the valet’s to the hostess to the waitstaff, everyone is very welcoming and friendly. On a warm spring evening, the patio is the perfect place to sit with friends and enjoy the delicious Mexican food. The vibes inside feel like you could be at a nice restaurant down in San Miguel. Javier’s is one of those restaurants that adds character to the neighborhood and consistently delivers a great dining experience.
